Plan
The curriculum of the Department of Economics consists of the Program Compulsory Courses, University Compulsory Courses, YÖK (Higher Education Counsil) Compulsory Courses and Field Elective Course categories recorded in the “Yaşar University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Degree Education and Examination”. The 2022-23 Academic Year Spring semester course schedule has been prepared by the Course Program Managers in line with the principles and calendar defined by the Central Academic Planning Coordination Office and has been submitted to Yaşar University Management System (YUMS).
Do
Students made their course selections from the spring semester course schedule via the Student Information System (OBS) on the course registration dates specified in the Yaşar University Academic Calendar. The courses registered by the students were checked by their academic advisors and approved on the days specified in the Course Registration Calendar determined by the Registrar’s Office. First-year students can choose 30 ECTS courses, while other students are subject to ECTS limitations in their course selection, which can be chosen in accordance with the “Probation Student” and “Successful Student” categories determined by the “Yaşar University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Degree Education and Examination”.
Check
Within the framework of the Course Registration Calendar determined by the Student Affairs Office, the class sizes resulting from the approved registrations were checked and the courses with insufficient number of students were closed. In addition, necessary courses have been opened for students who registered late for the Master’s Program in Economics (Turkish, without thesis). Particular emphasis was placed on the number of open elective courses being consistent with the number of ECON coded elective courses that students must complete for graduation.
Act
At the end of the Course Registration Calendar, a department meeting was held with the participation of Course Program Managers and Academic Advisors. At the meeting, the problems encountered during the course registration process were revealed and solution suggestions were evaluated.
